PPA 571

Plascoat PPA 571 is our best selling thermoplastic powder. It is used for a wide range of applications all over the world. Its unique formulation is made only by Plascoat. PPA 571 is free of Bisphenol A (BPA), PVC, halogens, phthalates and heavy metals.

Benefits at a glance

PPA 571 out performs all other coatings, particularly in areas where:

  1. temperatures fall below -5°C
  2. there is high sunlight exposure
  3. there is risk of sand, salt or sea abrasion

  6. there is a need to electrostatically spray coat in hot weather
  7. there is a chance of fungal or lichen growth

PPA 571 should be used in preference to PVC coatings where there are particular health and environment pollution concerns. For example:

  2. aquatically sensitive areas
  3. when in contact with drinking water and food
  4. when a 'warm to the touch' feel is specified
  5. where there is a requirement for high electrical resistance
  6. application of powder in poorly ventilated areas
  7. enclosed areas where, upon a fire, low levels of smoke and toxicity are required
  8. where a primer coat is not possible or desired

PPA 571 is available in the following grades:

  1. electrostatic spray powder
  2. fluidised bed (dip) powder
  3. flock spray powder
  4. extrusion powder
  5. flame spray (either dip or electrostatic powder can be used)
