Electrical Resistance of Plascoat PPA 571

Plascoat PPA 571 is a thermoplastic polyolefin and hence has excellent electrical resistance.  When measured in accordance with standard IEC 93, the volume resistivity is reported as being 3 x 10¹⁷ ohm. cm.  This electric resistance, coupled with its high dielectric strength of 47.8 KV/mm (IEC 243) when measured at 370 microns, makes it ideally suited for applications where electrical resistance is required.

Since the electrical resistance applications are safety critical Plascoat would strongly advise that the customer ensures the coating is suitable for the required application.
