Replace the existing material with NG30 and adjust the fluidising tank until a level of fluidisation is achieved.
The temperature required for the pre-heat oven when using NG30 is much lower than with traditional coating powders. In order to identify how low a temperature can be reached, progressively reduce the pre-heat temperatures until pinholes or other failures start to be apparent. When failures do start, adjust the temperatures to the last successful setting. These are the optimum pre-heat settings for the item.
Repeat step 2 for the post heat temperatures.
The coating weight can also be affected by pre-heat temperature. Therefore, after adjusting the pre-heat temperature in step 2, a new average coating weight should be determined.
Once the temperatures have been set, the dip-time can be adjusted. Once again, decrease the dip-time of the item in the fluidising bed until pinholes start to be apparent. Then resort back to the previous successful dip-time setting.
If these four steps are followed the coating conditions will be set to achieve the LOWEST coating thickness and the LOWEST energy usage.
If it is desired to increase line speeds the temperature can be raised.
