Plascoat PPA 571 Environmental Information

Plascoat PPA 571 series of products are based on acid modified polyolefin thermoplastic elastomers.  These polymers contain only carbon hydrogen and oxygen and therefore they do not contain:

          Chlorine or any other halide

          Sulphur or nitrogen

          Triglycidyl isocyanurate (TGIC)

          Dioctyl phthalate or other phthalates or other plasticisers.

Therefore during the coating process, or in the event of a fire near the coated item, there will be NO evolution of:

          Hydrochloric, nitric, sulphuric or other inorganic acids

          Hydrogen cyanide or other toxic gases

          Hydrogen chloride

          Phthalate or other plasticiser fumes.

Plascoat's PPA 571 series of products do not contain lead, cadmium, chromium, mercury or any other heavy metals. Plascoat PPA 571 contains only food contact approved ingredients. Many colours have formal food or potable water contact approvals
