Plascoat PPA 662
- The standard self-adhesive coating powder for battery boxes, with excellent stress crack and battery acid resistance. The matt appearance and the low friction properties allow the battery cells to be inserted easily.
- Manufactured since 1982 Plascoat
PPA662 is supplied to a large number of battery box manufacturers or their subcontractors world-wide.
- Applied by the fluidised bed dipping process a preheat temperature of minimum 280°C is required to activate the adhesive mechanism.
Plascoat PPA 571 and PPA 571H
- Plascoat PPA 571 is a multi-purpose coating powder, used for many years in a variety of demanding applications including battery boxes, which demand excellent long term adhesion, impact, UV and chemical resistance.
- With a very attractive gloss finish, available in a wide range of colours, the surface has low friction properties allowing the cells to be inserted easily.
- Processable over a wide range of temperatures, the flow properties of Plascoat PPA 571 are excellent giving a smooth, pinhole-free coating over difficult welds and edges.
- Plascoat
PPA 571 can be over-sprayed with polyester immediately after the coating process offering the capability of an even wider range of colours from one fluid bed tank.
- Plascoat
PPA 571H is also available for applications demanding very high impact resistance.
Plascoat PPA 684
- Newly formulated specifically for the coating of battery boxes. This grade combines an attractive price with a wide processing window, good adhesion and acid and stress-crack resistance.

offers a satin finish in a
standard range of colours.
- A harder version of PPA 684 designed to meet the hardness, electrical and chemical resistance requirements of ATEX. Data sheet
